Passion Conference - Kuala Lumpur 2008

I was suppose to blog on this a couple of weeks back immediately after I attended this conference at the Sunway Convention Centre, but was caught up in all the busyness of life. But hey, better late than never! :D

So a short intro to what Passion is all about, It's a Christian Conference aimed at College and University students. It is founded by Louie Giglio and consists of famous Christian artists like Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin and so on...

You can read abit more about Passion here or link to Passion's website and blog via 'My Favourite Sites' links at the bottom right of my blog.

Forgive me for the poor quality of the pictures from here on, it's small and not very clear because I took it with my phone's camera...forgotten to bring my camera...cheh!
I'll let the pictures do most of the explaining.

I was lucky enough to enter the hall earlier than most people because I was with Paul and got to see a little bit of the set up...hihi

KL's turn in the World Tour

Hello!

We're glad you're here too!

This is ONE name that needs no introducing!

You bet we are

The cities on the Passion World Tour list

There were great roars by the
crowd when this was on screen

And then...

Praise and Worship begun!

Chris Tomlin and later Chrlie Hall took to the stage to lead.
It was a truly awesome experience!

We were also introduced to the song God of This City , I believe It's the theme song for this tour, and rightly so!

Louie Giglio also shared an amazing and very touching true story on a girl named Ashley Akkins, you can read all about it here.

All in all, 4000 people got touched and went back with a new desire to seek Jesus Christ and spread His fame to the world.

Passion had this fantastic idea of the previous country praying for the next country on the tour list. Philippines prayed for Malaysia(many thanks Philippines!) and we had the honour of praying for Indonesia. And as I write this blog post now, I already have the knowledge that the Jakarta leg was a major success (All glory to God for doing wonders in the largest Muslim country in the world)!

And I shall end with this two pictures of the wristband we wore during the conference until the day of the Jakarta leg as a reminder to pray for them.

Flip it around and you see this!
