Last Thursday, my group of secondary school friends(Han Sheng, Gadiy, James, Sherman and Jonathan) went to Mid Valley to celebrate Kuan Kit's Birthday. James, Han Sheng and myself reached a bit later to join the rest of the guys who were there before us.
Before meeting up with them, the three of us stopped by at a cake shop to buy KK a birthday cake. I still remember that the chef that made the chocolate banana cake was a French named Piquet Grimane Almando(see Gadiy, I still remember his name). Well, i am saying this because Gadiy didn't believe that this was a custom made cake by a well known pastry chef, It's not the cheap Secret Recipe cake dude!
Anyway, after getting the cake, we went and met up with all of them at Chilli's.
Gadiy had to leave us even before the main dish was served because he had music practice with his youth group at PJ Gospel Hall(he's such a man of God, he would sacrifice fun to serve for the church). And of course, we had less fun after he left because like in every other get together, he's the one that can come up with those lame jokes that could make us laugh. Anyway, our meals came and we thoroughly enjoyed our food, i ordered a burger btw.
Minutes Later, a group of six other girls, all about our age were seated right opposite our table behind me...(story to be continued)
After all of us finished our meals, I signalled the Chilli's staff to bring out the cake, it was a small surprise as KK didn't really expected the cake to come, I believe he thought we all came empty handed(or did u?)
And as usual with Gadiy, he always arrives at the right time(back from church), this time to have a slice of the Piquet Grimane Almando Chocolate Banana Cake. Luckily for us, he arrived then, because we were having real trouble finishing the cake although it's a very and I stress a 'very very' delicious PGA cake.
Well, after all of us having eaten the cake and feeling really full, there were still 2 slices left and we didn't know what to do with it, guess what, Gadiy came up with a brilliant idea on how to deal with those two slices. The idea? He said that we should offer it to the 6 girls that were seated opposite our table. And what a coincidence that 1 of those girls there was also having her birthday.
At first Gadiy wanted to bring the cake over to the other table himself, and we were all overly excited on seeing him do that as the rest of us really didn't have much guts to do it. So we did our part and kept cheering him on. Gadiy himself who's had much experience doing this kinda thing was patient and waiting for the right moment to do it but we kept on pushing him and I myself even offered him Rm5 if he managed to do it. Soon enough, Gadiy thought that since it wasn't his birthday, he shouldn't be doing it and said the Birthday Boy himself should step up to the plate and make it a memorable 19th birthday for himself, well said dude!
Once Gadiy proposed of the idea that Kuan Kit should do it, he quickly took advantage and said "Raise your bet and I will do it". So i raised it to a complimentary cinema ticket worth Rm10 while Gadiy in return also offered Rm5 if he did it. We didn't expect him to be that brave but he was really courageous, he just took a deep breath, took the plate of cake and went over to the other table and offered it to the girls. Gadiy quickly took advantage and recorded it on video, he also asked KK to take a picture with the birthday girl.(smart move dude, this is how I got all the pictures and video)
The remaining 5 of us continued on to the cinemas and watched The Simpsons, i am not gonna elaborate on the movie as i believe most of you have watched it, for those of you who haven't, go watch it! It's the funniest cartoon I have seen having not been much of a Simpsons follower.
After the movie, our day finally ended and we all went home. I believe this would be KK's happiest ever 19th Birthday, that's definitely! He most probably couldn't sleep thinking about the brave thing he done.

Haha..a very accurate summary of events...but you didn't tell anyone that Piquet Grimane Almando works in Jaya Jusco..(and his name isn't even French)
hey, keep it low that he works in Jusco ok! It's just that people in Malaysia haven't started recognizing his talents. I am sorry if u didn't know but his father is a Spanish and mum's a French but he was born in France. That's why!
How did you know about his family? Have you been reading his blog?
Fine la, Piquet Grimane Almando is actually Encik Azman from the Jaya Jusco Supermarket. I wanted to make KK's birthday cake special, but James here can't stop spoiling it. I am never gonna have a joint birthday party with you in december 5&6...you would probably make everything look cheap...haha, joking.
LOL !!!
What Cheap??? I suggested Secret Recipe but you wanted the custom baked cake by Piquet Grimane Almando a.k.a Encik Azman...
wait...secret recipe is cheap ok! It's too common, i mean how often do you get to eat a cake baked by PGA aka En Azman? Like once in your lifetime rite? Now isn't that like special? I've like eaten Secret Recipe cakes for ages and it doesn't beat that Azman cake ok...
