Action and Drama Night

I just watched Die Hard 4.0 with my brother, my sister-in-law and my sister on Wednesday evening and Maaaaaaan! I must say that from an action movie viewpoint, its definitely rated 5 stars, for me at least. The length of the movie is around 2hrs and 10mins according to my sister. Personally, I think it beats Transformers, 007 Casino Royale and Spiderman 3.

The four of us normally go movie watching 2-4 times a month at Cineleisure Damansara, but last Wednesday was slightly different as I was also celebrating my brother’s long belated birthday and I stress on the word LONG, his birthday was actually on the 29th of May and I promised him I’ll buy him a dinner but due to the fact that he was often outstation we had delayed it till 11th of July. So on Wednesday I finally treated him to a well deserved dinner at Tony Roma’s ribs, seafood and steak restaurant. Here’s the funny part, while the attending waiter who by the way is a malay was taking all our orders down, I tried to secretly order a chocolate cake for my brother by lightly whispering and pointing at the menu and I thought he got the message that it’s suppose to be a surprise but he had to spoil it! While confirming all our orders, he read everthing back out including the cake! At that moment, my sister-in-law who was already suspecting something noticed and laughed while I on the other hand just hit my hand on my head in disappointment. Surprisingly, my brother didn’t even notice anything! The poor waiter had to endure the agony of feeling guilty the whole time we were there after he noticed that he had spoiled my surprise.

After the dinner, we still had around 1.5hours to spare before the movie starts so we headed off to the top floor to play a game of bowling. I ended up losing to both my brother and my sister(my sister-in-law did not play), how memalufying! After the game, we went on to play another game, foosball. My sister and I paired up and we convincingly beat my bro and his wife. I redeemed myself by scoring the last goal of the game. The rest were scored by my sister. She was man of the match and top scorer as well!

After all the fun and games we were finally able to go watch the movie, and I didn’t want the show to end with all the action and drama. Bruce Willis who was acting as John McClane was just invincible in the movie! He was very funny as well, I like it when he said this to Warlock(Kevin Smith), “You call this a command centre? It’s a basement!” You’ll understand what I mean after you watch the movie.

After the movie, there was still some time left for some late midnight drama. I will not get into the details of it as it is a bit hard to put into words so just a summary. It must be the adrenalin pouring over from the Die Hard movie causing me and my brother to get ourselves into a race while leaving the carpark of the complex. My brother was driving his 2400cc Merz-Benz while I was driving my 1300cc Kembara. I got the upper hand with a smart move and overtook him while exiting the carpark but he chased back on the highway with his faster straight line speed and swift turning and finally caught up with me that forced me to use my Turbo(overdrive) button on my car for better acceleration to match him. We were pretty much head to head until we went our separate ways. That night, I felt really guilty for what I did, it could have caused fatal injuries to other road users and so I’ll make a commitment not to race on the road anymore. Maybe next time I’ll suggest go-kart to my brother, Extreme Park the venue to determine who’s the better driver!
